Meh, It's June Already

And there goes my favorite month. We are in the middle of the year already! I'm still coping with the very last two classes that I have to take this semester and after I'm done with them, I'm going to prepare myself for the Final Project term. I have proposed the three alternatives: illustrated biography of Audrey Hepburn, Marie Antoinette and Frida Kahlo and couldn't be happier to get the approval from my lecturer pretty easily. I will go with Audrey's biography, of course. And since thousands of her photos that I have gathered had gone with the wind (my lost laptop), I'm currently collecting them back by visiting Audrey's websites, Tumblrs, etc etc.

Oh and about my 22nd birthday (yikes), I was very happy to have Josh by my side on my special day. My friends came to surprise me, not to mention that they never forgot to bully me as well. They smeared all over my face with paint and instead of fancy birthday shots, I got photos of myself look like an African clown published on social media. Afterwards, my fridge was brimful of three birthday cakes, along with cheese blocks from Josh (his idea is to replace the ordinary creamy cake with my favorite savory food).

It has been a while since I wrote my last journal page. I'm always bad at continuing this kind of progressive activity because I always want every page to look good and interesting. And to make everything looks good and interesting, one should always have a commitment and good time management. And I don't have both. One day, I stumbled upon a glimpse of Peter Arkle's visual journal and it looked so freaking good, while all that he did was writing a lot and drawing sketches in simple black ink. So that's it, I bought myself a thin and practical notebook and whatever I have in mind will be whole-heartedly spilled into it. I'll just write and scribble, not obliged to decorate the pages by thoughtful garnishes.

If you are interested, you can purchase the Sherlock mini print (plus frame!). Limited, signed and numbered. I'm currently not open to International buyers :( so this is for Indonesia area only. Feel free to contact me by e-mail: jessicaubergine@gmail.com for inquiries.

The picture is adorable. I think it's great that you are choosing to do your final project on Audrey Hepburn. She's was a lovely woman and so elegant and beautiful too.
