Happy Things

I'm trying to keep my mind oriented to positive and happy things (because being skeptical all the time is not healthy) so here is a summarized post of how I have been doing lately… I'm in a process to detach myself from Instagram because it turns out that sharing things here on the blog makes me much happier.
Anyhow, I'm currently enjoying Snapchat a lot! Not because I get to see Shay Mitchell's never-ending selfies, my friends' selfies or people around the world's selfies, but because luckily there are some interesting people with interesting life to follow. My favorite is Young Mee Rim, whose existence I stumbled across on Instagram. She is a Danish-Korean who studies national conservative history in Copenhagen, and it is always such a refreshment to see what she is up to! Her snaps range from delicious egg yolk, libraries, Moomin mugs to fossils, herbarium specimens, vertebrate and dead snake. I also adore her fashion style and personality!
Another thing that makes me happy: for the past four months, I cook every day because I only have two classes to attend and I mostly stay at home. Now my diet consists of cooked pasta, fried egg, tempeh, broccoli, carrot and long bean. The happy part is I actually enjoy preparing the meal despite the ugly fact that I'm still a terrible cook. I'm excited about Audrey at Home, a new book about Audrey written by his second son, Luca. The approach is really unique because it is practically a biography + cookbook, featuring 250 new family photos and personal recipes. So intriguing!
What pleases me just recently is a particular thing that I thought I've never been involved with forever except I'm forced to put it on: trousers. Skirt has been my middle name for the past four years. The idea of sticking with skirts and dresses emerged due to my chubby legs and although my mom and Josh had advised me to start 'learning' to wear trousers, it was still pretty hard to get used to it. I only have two trousers in my closet: one semi-jeans and one semi-harem (not the very loose 'genie type' one...I don't know the right term so I'll just call it semi-harem. It is a really pretty trousers). But just lately, probably three weeks ago, I finally feel pretty comfortable in trousers and excited to think of the new outfit plans! Spencer Hastings' outfits heavily influenced me because she got the coolest preppy style. (Anyone watching Pretty Little Liars here?)
I'm also grateful for happy mails that I frequently receive from online stores that want to use my help to promote their products. Also for all the nice people out there who still follow my journey right here. It is really nice to see the numbers in my Overview page, the proof of actual human-beings who are still reading (or at least viewing) my ramblings :> Thank you, everyone.
