Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. I don't feel any ambience of this lovey-dovey celebration this year due to the inhuman amount of assignments and I don't really care actually, haha. I gave homemade pink chocolate sticks to my 30 chosen friends last year and I don't think even for a sec to do that ritual again...

I wore black outfit from top to toe today, by the way.

Today is also my friend Adrian's 20th birthday. Freaking 20, gosh.... my turn will be next year.

Just like these Kinder Joy eggs, every single week in my life as university student is labeled with that tagline. Every Monday night I'll be wondering in my room, what kind of hell assignment from Studio Studies class I'm going to accept on Monday. The task is like a vague surprise, but the ominous one. How my whole week will be going is a mystery too, I don't know if it will be either hectic, exhausting, fun, boring or dreary. If my old mates asked me to hang out on weekend, my answer would be, "Depends on my assignments."

And here I am, on Monday night, wondering what will be going on this week.

By the way, do you notice that the day / night sky is so damn pretty these days? Supreme blue in the day, and the moon is unusually bright in the night. This evening, the sky color reminds me of grape-orange ice cream scoop with an extra bonus : rainbow. If only I had a capable camera to keep these marvelous views, graaah.

Today is the last day of Block Teaching week for Interior Design 2011 class.....such a bless. The climax part, installation project that requires the students to make a bigger 3D construction than the usual weekly assignment, was damn exhausting. However, it's done. Time to hibernate.

The Yearbook : La Fete is finally here. La Fete means "party" in French, and that is the universal theme for each class' photo session. Another classes took the sub themes such as glamour party, night party, tea party, garden party, birthday party, kids party and house party... and then it came up with a confusion for my own class. Then I got a bell ring from one of Gogirl! magazine's photo spread : exquisite pictures of a hippie couple at a meadow. I thought it was a brilliant idea because hippie theme doesn't require any expensive fee for renting a place (simply look for a vacant lot!) and the costumes are quite easy. My class accepted the idea and ta-daaa....!

Hey, guys.... I'm sick. Cough, flu, overheat, headache and ready-to-faint-anytime, but now I'm healthy enough to bounce around on the Internet. I have a half dozen of assignments to do for next week so wish me luck. A very great luck. This week is pretty boring and I don't take any single pictures so far. Oh, and fun fact : I lose 3 kilos, and it turned out that my previous weight was *insert a very long series of drum rolls* .......59. What can you expect from a 18-years-old girl who almost reached 60?? Eat, pray and die. I made a serious list of 2012 resolutions because of this. And please don't freak out, physically I don't look that fat. Really...

By the way, Happy Katy Perry-ing for those who celebrate it. Just saw a photo of my friends with the cute set of candy land at the venue and I'm quite sad about it. I'll just wait for Katy's twin sister, Zooey Deschanel, to come here. I was in a big dilemma about emptying my cash or not to buy the ticket months ago but I decided that there are still a lot of neglected things on my to-buy-list and besides, as always, I have that famous financial issues. I also made a serious list of 2012 resolutions because of this.

Done. I once mentioned about a video project in this post and here is the result. Feel free to make critics because I know the compilation is not really good, haha. But I'm keep going on for this and will make one video for one month because the process is fun and very easy. My first 3 days of semester two only allowed me to get 8 hours of sleep. I had a sleepless night yesterday due to my unfinished Observational Graphics holiday assignment but me and my friends ended up.... staying tuned on a hilarious twitwar : @HaqueMarissa vs @apriliokevin and @addiems and I have to say that this narcissistic politician is mentally disturbed. Her blog is even funnier than Smosh videos. And I adore Kevin and Addie's son-and-dad bond so much!

2011 was not really a good year, but it was a definitely important one. Senior Year, birthday celebration in Bali, Prom Night, graduation, first semester in the university, and a series of farewells and new beginnings are occurred this year. 2011 is a tough year too. I have to say that my days are quite full of misery...yes I won't blame the year. I'll just check the late horoscope and see if the predictions are true or not. Anyway, let's just be better for 2012. New Year Resolutions are on progress.

Hey, people! It turns out that I have the Internet connection back in my hand after Mom decided to buy new portable USB modem, so just add a bold strikethrough on my last sentence of previous post.

I have some stock of photos to post, but I remember I have been keeping these pictures from my friend, Cindy when she spent her summer vacation in Japan.

Speaking about Japan, I was dying about it and made a promise to myself and a friend to go there before 17. Yeah, silly dream. I was an otaku and faithful manga reader back then, but the transition made me want to sell all of my comic books away. Manga gave me a huge influence in my childhood. My first comic book ever is Sailor Moon. But I guess I totally get rid of these big-sparkly-eyed girls, haha... it's just so obvious for me that most of modern shoujo manga stories have a very boring and flat plot with exaggerating figures. So I stop reading them. And besides, comics are damn so expensive now. Last time I checked, it's IDR 16.500 for each book. I'd rather buy myself a tube of Pringles with that money. But I'm still following the epic series of One Piece and delight daily stories such as Doraemon, Miiko, Kobo Chan and Yotsuba. They are way more entertaining than typical teenager love stories. And by the way, doesn't mean to be sexist... male mangakas write better stories than the female mangakas.

Another thing is, I want to change my style of drawing so bad, but it requires a hard exercise. If I draw a girl, the character still gets this pair of remarkable sparkly eyes which is... so anime.

Bought myself a Starbucks tumbler a couple of weeks ago and the first thing that popped up in my mind are these influential people to decorate the tumbler : Adam Young, Audrey Hepburn, Chris Colfer, Cory Monteith and Zooey Deschanel. Mine is 8oz and the capacity is way too small...the only benefit is it fits well in my small-sized bags. But the tumbler still comes in handy.

Spend this Wednesday by re-watching Glee episodes and...spotted! My favorite vintage fashion blogger, Aya Smith, wore the same dress as Dianna Agron had on the last episode of season two.

Last Sunday, I managed to walk for miles (I didn't count, but it was a really, really long walk) with my sister for the sake of these Christmas lights. Finally. The sparkly views in front of Times bookstore was worth it! Actually it was quite creepy to walk only two of us, at night, and the sidewalk was so quiet. But it was fun to peek those luxurious houses along the street. New thing on my wish list : take another walk, but in the noon!

Caramel

If you always read my blog and Tumblr posts, you must be familiar with my Sylvanian bunny doll, Caramel. She is a resemblance of my former pet, a lop ear rabbit (also called Caramel) which was given to me as 15th birthday gift from my ex. I was not sure if Caramel was a male or female but then I convinced myself that the gender is female.

I couldn't take my eyes off the cage but around one month later, I started to get bored. Haha yeah, I'm really not good at giving a long-lasting affection to my properties. My mother was concern about Caramel's condition so she suggested me to just give her away to my cousin, so I did it. Never heard of her again until this afternoon, when me and my family visited my cousin's house.....

This is not Caramel. This is his wife. Yes, Caramel was actually a male rabbit! He died this February, but before it, he already had four babies with this female lop ear rabbit. Their babies didn't survive. My Aunt said that she always wanted to tell me about this but unfortunately, she always forgot as well.

Too bad I left all of Caramel's photos in my old hard disk. Rest in peace, buddy. I'm so sorry I was unable to be a good master for you.

Christmas is coming to town. Took a walk around my friend's boarding house when we were stuck on our assignment and so stoked to see LED lights and Christmas wreaths on the doors! Too bad what I got in my hand that time was only my friend's digital camera... but I was quite shocked to see the result. Night vision of Canon Ixus 220 HS is fine, it is able to take a clear and bright picture of the night sky. The moonlight was so shiny though.

Now I'm planning to go out at night around Lippo Village to take pictures of Christmas lights and decorations during this December. But first, I need a friend to accompany me, a vehicle (it's impossible to just walk!) and a DSLR. Wish me luck.

We are all living a hard life and sometimes it's really hard to keep your chin up high and smile for everything that happens to us. Some of the obstacles seem too unbelievable to face, but when there is a will, there is a way. Always. Change your perspective, alter your point of view, be more humorous instead of getting grumpy all the time and you will be more enlightened to walk at the right way.

But some of us always exaggerate their small problems.

You are angry. You slam the door, rigorously type a post so the whole world knows that you are having such a bad day. You scream by putting a lot of exclamation marks. You post it on Twitter, Facebook and your BBM status for the sake of calming yourself down.

I suggest you to buy a diary or make a secret blog. You have to know that I have been there... I was a great spammer on Twitter (yep, haha) when I was a newbie. Such an embarrassment whenever I remember how many stupid tweets I have posted to express how did I feel when I was pissed off. Yes, maybe some of you "tweet to express, not to impress" but you have to remember, that your tweets are watched by your followers, and the whole Internet world. Think twice when you want to say something and publish it online. Because more than you ever know, there will be at least one person who put a big attention on whatever that you say and talk about it behind your back. If you want to express your anger, remove the swearing words and don't constantly tweet about it.

What's the point of asking to be followed back and have a bunch of followers if you irritate so many people with your inappropriate words?

My reason to be on Twitter because I want to read tweets from people that I'm interested with. I follow them because I love reading their daily opinions and that is how I get entertained. I don't follow people to be annoyed by their moronic and norak tweets. Yes, I'm a type that can be easily pissed off because of it. So please don't be offended if I suddenly hit the Unfollow button. Unfollow doesn't mean Unfriend. Twitter isn't same with Facebook. I add you as friend because I know you, and I follow you because I want to know more about you. Cheers :)

Not a good Santa actually, because actually my main purpose was to throw my old stuffs away. Keychain, hair clips, silver necklaces and pendants... I no longer want them all yet it's too sad to see them in a grubby trash bin. So I got them all into a box and dropped this "giveaway" at my favorite park near my house.

I think I can do this once a month... I have too many unwanted things from my past as a freaky pinkaholic.

PS : I'm deleting some of my old posts that I consider... unnecessary, haha. And for welcoming the new year, I'm going to give this blog another new layout by simplifying it more and more... as you can see now. Header will be replaced in 2012!

As I'm Getting Older...

Remember the time when you spent your leisure time by decorating your Friendster profile with glitter graphics because it used to be freakin' cool? Or when you edited bunch of your narcissistic portraits with clip arts from Photoscape? But you now get rid of those all because it's no longer cool... it's tacky and inappropriate instead.

I call it a transition. This is my transition. And my transition makes me confused.

This is the ridiculous handbag I used to bring everywhere when I was in Junior High School. But all of my friends loved it, all eyes were on me when I walked with this (hell yeah) and everybody kept asking me where did I buy it. And actually this was the first thing I bought online by taking all the risks.

And these WERE my treasure. I don't even want to know how much I have spent for these craps, haha! Whenever I went to mall, I couldn't stand myself for entering that so-called girls accessories shops (which actually sell the most norak stuffs you could ever found) without buying any hair clips or bows. I was well-known among my friends for wearing these. And yes, I pictured myself in a big pink hair bow, always. Since I don't want to wear these at all, I have no idea where should I give these away...

And I used to be obsessed with these kind of things. Totally pink bedrooms, Sanrio stuffs, pop-up stickers, colorful doll houses, and another cuteness. The first picture was my, uh, creation. I combined everything I found cute on Google and proudly posted it to Facebook.

And actually these are the worst. Please don't throw up.

So basically, I was a maniac lover of pink, anime, manga, dolls, Hello Kitty, and things that I supposed to love when I was six years old. If you can see what did my daily outwear look like, I'm sure you all will be burst into a big guffaw. This tackiness years stopped when I was in the middle of sophomore, thank God. And I started to fall for vintage and shabby scrapbook images.

They made my days. Remember my old blog layout? Old vintage graphics was so enchanting, and making a digital scrapbook was my hobby. I don't consider this one as an embarrassment, but later, my interest in vintage graphics also fades out.

I'm still mad about vintage fashion, but being dressed up in long dresses and 80s outfit is a difficult thing to do here because... some people just don't understand. And I'm not a type of person who comfortably dare to be different. I'm still lack of confidence.

Lately I realized that I'm actually a bit far from everything sweet and pink now. I'm now keen on things like these.

These are examples of outfit I would love to wear now. Yes, trousers. I used to hate trousers with all of my heart, especially denim. I promised to myself, declared to everyone, that I will never ever wear jeans trousers except for school trips. Now I end up giving my eyes to bunch of cool trousers, pair of boots, loose shirts, and knitted tops.

The point is, my transition is slowly getting me out from my attraction to pink.

By posting this, it doesn't mean that I'm talking about specific person.... I just want to share my thoughts while I'm waiting for the plumbing back to normal. (Besides, it has been a long time I didn't "talk" here, I have been loading my blog only with pictures. You don't have to read this post, anyway.)

I'm a very individualistic person. I prefer do everything all by myself. You can leave me in a house without having any direct social interactions with others for years and I'll be still perfectly sane. Well, this doesn't mean that I hate making friends or that I'm a creepy emo girl who always avoid to mingle around. I do need friends for my life, I love to hang out and have fun together with people, but I have my best comfortable spot when I'm alone. When I'm surrounded by my friends, I feel like having a burden to keep interacting with them, which is a little nuisance for me because I'd rather do some activities by my own such as reading or drawing. I even feel that way when I'm hanging out or attending special occasions. Even worse, I day-dream a lot. I like being in my own world and get drowned there. (Is it possible that I'm suffering from a mild autism?)

Moreover, from what I have been through these days just made me seriously want to be alone.

The term of "alone" here isn't something extreme like being totally disconnected from social circle and live in a bunker. I'll just let you guess it by yourself. I have been a terrible one as a friend. I have ever been a backstabber. I made gossips. I'm mean, more than you can imagine. (I made this confession in Prom Night in front of the whole school so I'm a little bit relieved.)

But remembering one of the good traits that a Taurus has : loyalty, yes I'll be an eternal loyal friend if someone truly means a friend for me. How to be a good friend? Please define "a good friend" for me. Does a good friend do anything, like everything, for the sake of her friend's happiness? Does a good friend always keep her anger when it comes to an unavailable ability of her friend to change? Does a good friend stay, when she actually wants to leave? Does a healthy friendship require more than one good friend? (For this question, I know the answer.)

I don't share much about my personal problem unless someone asks me to... I don't even always share it when someone asks me to. But when I'm severely depressed and overwhelmed, definitely I'll ask my close friend for a time for myself to spill my sadness out and a shoulder to cry on. So far, I got disappointed when I was on my high expectation that they would simmer me down until I'm calm enough and give my power back to rise and shine. I was shattered for many times. They broke my heart even more. But what can I do? Give them a tutorial to be a listener and more affectionate? Damn pointless. I kept silent, and started being afraid to share my stories because I knew that they would just disappoint me once more. I listened more and spoke less and it seemed that they didn't really care.... until I'm getting used to be ignored.

I'm very sad.

Why do I still consider them as bunch of important people if I'm under pressure to have this kind of bond? What can you do when your good isn't good enough? (Just like what Rachel Berry sang.) I have no idea. Back to the fact that I'm an individualistic and prefer to be alone, it'll be still a huge sorrow to declare an ending. To stay is hard, but to leave is also hard.

Not So Awesome Friday

Went to Emax at Kemang yesterday, accompanied Katherin to take her price. She won a IDR 750.000 Hush Puppies voucher *drool*, and had lunch at Amigos which was a huge mistake for a broke girl like me. Shared a plate of nachos with my sister and drank only one single glass of ice tea, yet it still costed IDR 50.000 for each person. Ssssshit.

Lovely.

And moved to Taman Anggrek. Bought nothing.

By the way, I'm currently doing a project. Have you watched Owl City's Alligator Sky music video? Remember the last part when there was a flashback of something like his memories on the earth...? Well, Adam inspired me to make a remembrance of my random daily activities by recording one activity for around three seconds only, then I'm going to record maybe around 40 brief parts, then combine them all into one video.

And yesterday, at Periplus, I recorded myself with self-timer mode when nobody was around. Then I realized that I was exactly being supervised by a CCTV.

I'M ATTENDING OWL CITY LIVE CONCERT LAST NIGHT... Finally!!!

Vini, vidi, vici!! I came to Tennis Indoor Senayan and got a quite good spot to watch the concert but still not close enough. Then I saw ADAM YOUNG ON THE STAGE (he was seriously cute, seriously cute), I got through the another audiences around me and... managed to reach the front row. Me and Adam, 3 meters only!! Then I felt like a winner.

I made this but idiotically LEFT it at home.

Breanne Duren as guest star. She was so adorable! Her voice was very unusual... yet strikingly lovely. The way she dressed up really reminds me of Zooey Deschanel.

AND THIS WAS the closest distance between me and him. Took a good picture too.

But there's also a disappointment. A big one, actually. Adam tweeted nothing about the concert in Indonesia, and I had a short chat with the Meet and Greet winners after the concert. They said Adam was actually having a bad mood due to the traffic jam and feeling unwell. Thanks a lot to Jakarta's worst street management. Adam didn't do any interaction with the audiences, extremely wish he would come down from the stage and shake our hands, damn it.

But still, last night was ZOMFG.

Because we were not allowed to bring DSLR camera, the pictures that I took are not satisfying. Those are some awesome photos from the concert, thanks to one of the Java Musikindo photographers, Rude Billy for giving me a permission to post these!

Studio Studies assignment : create various reflected lights with duplex tubes and color papers with daylight and artificial light. Took 3 days to make total of 4 sets with my group but it was worth it... we attained the highest score, which is very difficult in Studio class.

Sorry for the 6-days absence! Had another hectic week (again) and I have quite a lot of postponed posts... but I have to upload these pictures first. We threw a little surprise birthday to our dearest Devi because she is having her 19th birthday today!

Also had a very random and sudden photo session in front of Summarecon Mall and Times Bookstore at Lippo in the dawn for the sake of capturing the bokeh. Merely didn't give any damn to the confused security officers and truck drivers who passed by, hahaha.

Freaking love the black and white effect. But I was so lancai that night, gotta dress up and have another session someday...

Turned my MacBook on, and as usual the Safari browser automatically directed to Apple's page... and I saw this. Steve Jobs' death was shocking and left me the same feeling when I heard about Michael Jackson's death for the first time. Well, I'm not hysterically sad and I don't want to show too much since I don't know him that much, but this is a huge loss that makes me feel mournful.

On Twitter, people talked about Steve's 2005 Commencement Address video and because it tickled my inquisitiveness, I watched it. If you are following me every day, you probably remember that recently I'm in quite a big dilemma about should I just quit from university and start doing something that I really want to achieve my dreams. From what did Steve say in his speech, now I'm seriously considering about it... oh my God.

"And 17 years later I did go to college. But I naively chose a college that was almost as expensive as Stanford, and all of my working-class parents' savings were being spent on my college tuition. After six months, I couldn't see the value in it. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life and no idea how college was going to help me figure it out. And here I was spending all of the money my parents had saved their entire life. So I decided to drop out and trust that it would all work out OK. It was pretty scary at the time, but looking back it was one of the best decisions I ever made. The minute I dropped out I could stop taking the required classes that didn't interest me, and begin dropping in on the ones that looked interesting."

That IS the exactly what I feel about right now!! The university that I'm studying at right now is known enough for its expensive tuition and truthfully, before I submitted my admission form, I have been thinking a lot about my parents. Financially. I was afraid. I was afraid that these all would be in vain and I wouldn't be able to do the payback to my parents. And besides, I've never been really sure about university. The more weeks I spend in university, the more unsure I'm getting to be. Seriously. Steve also talked about the required classes that didn't interest him and he was so grateful for taking the big risk. I feel the fuacking same right here. I have several redundant and useless classes that irk me so much for its pointless lessons, every time I was joining the classes, I talked to myself, "Damn, what are you doing here in this place?" And I don't even want to count how many hours that I have spent for doing the assignments for that useless classes.

Should I just quit after this first semester? Only if I had a time machine and look if this is the right decision to take or not.

Went to Pacific Place and Grand Indonesia yesterday with my sister and Katherin, featuring Caramel and Cotton.

Initially thought that Nanny's Pavillon was running a flea market, but it was just a load of costumes for pre-wedding photoshoot. With a bored maid.

After got ourselves stuffed with yummy pancakes, we visited the America Cultural Center and three of us expected that we would see something like an... American museum with cool exhibition inside and things like that but all that we found was Jalan Sesama show with kids everywhere. And a few of photos. Disappointed!

Then passed by the golden sunshine which went through the huge dome of Pacific Place.

24 hours of fun with Aal last Saturday, started by having the homemade breakfast and brief photo session at Benton Junction. My weight is constantly increasing and I think you might be disgusted to see my humongous fat so I "only" added two pictures here.

Continued to 7A, a sector in Gading Serpong whose park is fairly decent and I accompanied him to do his extracurricular assignment (take the best shot of animal and flower). Then we saw an old man with his ultra cute dog but too bad it was bad at "sit and stay" so it was difficult to take a satisfying picture of the dog. Then we wandered around the sector to find flowers, recklessly picked anything from random pot and front yard but we still haven't done good enough. So in the evening, we went to the Downtown Walk at SMS (with stinky armpits, LOL) with a big hope we could did something there because Downtown has a marvelous view, with lanterns and bright decorative LED lights all around. We made several bokeh effects instead, and damn, I frrreaking love bokeh! But again, too bad, no satisfactory was gained from the flower pictures (can't find any animal there).

In a big attempt to do the best, my perfectionist friend decided to hunt once more again, at night around his domicile. It was dark (yes, sure it was) so we brought a flashlight as well and it surprisingly gave a cool effect for the pictures. It created sort of vignette effect with narrow range and also made a beautiful "glow" to the object. The best part was capturing a little frog that we met near the swimming pool, because Aal successfully took an amazing picture of it, just like as seen on National Geographic magazine, really! (Unfortunately, I can't show you anything from the night hunt, just too afraid if there'll be irresponsible parties who will take the photo without credits.)

PS : Oh yes, I had a haircut three weeks ago. Second biggest disaster after my bob haircut.

I want to get the hell out from the circle where my parents expect me to be at but they won't easily accept me to do something uncanny and different while me, myself can't guarantee the result.

But what did Paul Arden say in his book drives me crazy. Paulo Coelho stated if "It's still in your mind, it is worth taking the risk" and this is pumping my confusion yet boosting my desire. I'm young, reckless, my current thought about "this" is silly and ridiculous but I just... feel that I have to do this. Or I'll regret it forever. As Lucile Ball said... "I'd rather regret the things I have done than regret the things I haven't done."

Happy Eid for those who celebrate it! I'm not going anywhere, both of my parents are enjoying their holiday in China, my sister is in my hometown, being a house keeper (bless her) and currently I'm suffering from cough, plus two hours before I post this, my left hand was badly injured because I got a pratfall in the bathroom and unconsciously I used my left hand to hold down the fall...then it got slipped and I yelped like a banshee. Such a big bad luck because I still have four assignments to do before this Lebaran holiday ends.

Just watched Glee Season 2 (yes I know I'm extremely late) and me want Kurt's t-shirt so baaad. Or I'll customize one by myself, it would be "fat tummy", "pimples" or "trunk legs". I combined the pictures with screenshots.

Anthropomorphically, Indonesia is a hilarious entertainer. Want to know and recall some fun facts about Indonesia?

Well, a vocalist from a well-known band got arrested for making a porn video with his celebrity girlfriend for 3 years and 6 months in prison. Like, seriously? Western actors sell their sex tapes. Yeah I know there's a big amount of differences between Western and Eastern but this one is just out of the line. Worse than the case above, a villager were under arrest for stealing his neighbor's watermelon. A house maid had to be in the jail for stealing her master's dinner plates and a sarong. A seller on Kaskus also got arrested for a silly accusation : selling an iPad without a damn manual book.

WHILE the worse criminals such as corruptors who deserve 15 years in prison could do anything they want without being arrested. Why? Yes, Because Indonesia has a horribly collapsed law system and everybody is willing to accept the bribe. Corruption is the biggest issue in Indonesia. Even the head of Corruption Eradication Commission itself were involved in a corruption case.

A tax mafia, freely flew to Bali to watch a tennis tournament (in a disguise, with a wig) and Macau for a vacation trip. A bribery doer got in the jail for her crime activities, but damn, she had her cell nicely decorated with wallpaper, parquet, plasma TV, sofa, and even a mini beauty clinic equipments for her treatment! She even still had a free access to use her mobile phone!

Those are only a few examples. But it affects on our daily life.

Polices in Indonesia are no longer trusted apparatus who supposed to make the citizen safe. They are everywhere to manage the traffic and.... extort money from every road user's pocket. My very latest case was, had to pay IDR 80.000 to get the hell out for not wearing a helmet. And yes, that is the only option. We have to pay the bribe, or we are going to the court JUST for not wearing a helmet!! I once went to Kota Tua with Tommy and Renny, and Tommy spent IDR 200.000 JUST because he turned to the wrong direction (for only two seconds). When he was about to turn to the right way, "priiiit" ...the deathly whistle was blown.

Yes, Indonesia is so hilarious sarcastically. Literally, this country is so bad at entertaining. I only turn my television on to make noises while I'm on the Internet because watching the news just give me a depression, the infotainments always exaggerate everything, the reality shows are lame (the only show that I "approve" is John Pantau, LOL), and staying tuned on a sinetron would probably be the last thing I want to do for leisure.

My favorite tweet about #17an. But this is so true. My New Zealand friend didn't know that Bali is located in Indonesia.

So, Happy Independence Day, people. I won't say "Despite what I wrote above, I still love this country" ... no, no. To be truthful, I loathe living here with all of my heart and my first ambition before 30 is move to another country, really. My Civics teacher even said that we all have no need to be hypocrite about Indonesia. She hates TV commercials who proudly stated bullshits like "Indonesia is a great country with great nation" and I'm fully agree.

UPH Festival 18

This year, Universitas Pelita Harapan presents its biggest annual event, UPH Festival 18 : Together in Harmony. I came to the sixteenth and seventeenth but for the eighteenth festival, I participated as... the official new UPH student.

UPH Festival is for public welcoming with activities such as bazaars, bike market, academic gallery from each faculty, Gala Concert, art performances, Open House for High School students, and new students orientation. Too bad, new students couldn't really enjoy the whole fair because we didn't have plenty of free time for sight-seeing. Four days of orientation were quite drowsy because new students had a lot of seminar and lectures at the Grand Chapel, also mentoring time.

Yesss, these are some lovely captures from Our Vintage House booth! A little shocked when I saw Paula and Sizeka were at UPH, with their mind-blowing collection which unfortunately....is unreachable financially (in my case). Asked Sizeka if I could take pictures and my thought was, she thought I'm a weirdo... well I am.

Successfully downloaded the torrent and watched Roman Holiday... finally!!!!!!! Despite the poor quality of picture, it was worth the wait. But the ending shattered my heart into pieces. The story was about a bored princess, portrayed by Audrey Hepburn, on her escape with a reporter. I think the ending was supposed to be a "happily ever after" mode as a usual fairy tale but...it wasn't.

Total copycat...

Not effing interested. Geez, spambots are on Tumblr now.

My Blabs About "It All Ends Here"

"It All Ends Here".... I watched the final part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows with my sister and my favorite cousins, The Tannadys, yesterday. Anton was off to London for three weks (envy him with all of my heart) last month and he brought some souvenirs.

Alvin : "Mbak, di sini jual Indomie rebus nggak?"

About the movie? Well, most of my friends gave their two thumbs up and another praises such as "It's fantastic!" "Cool!" and some of them also cried. The only part of the movie I sobbed at was the scene when the Weasleys holding Fred's corpse. Same thing when I read that part in the book. I still hate Rowling so much for killing him and I hope she'll give an acceptable reason on Pottermore. If this epic series of Harry Potter'll be continued by that handsome Albus Potter (my girl friends get a crush on him!) at least Rowling should write about Fred's appearance in a form of ghost or painting in The Burrow.

But personally, the movie was more than just "fantastic" and "cool". My feeling towards it is just indescribable. For those who live in Indonesia, you all know that the journey of Deathly Hallows Part Two to get through the tax policy was almost as epic as the movie itself. My friends and the another fanatic fans were talking about that issue every day, but I was calm and like, "Yeah it's okay if they don't release it here." I'm truly a huge fan of Harry Potter, I re-read the entire series for more than 30 times, but I was terribly disappointed with several movies such as Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire and Half-Blood Prince because of the scrambled plot and a lot of differences with the book contents, etc. So I think, I was afraid to feel that kind of big disappointment again, and I ended up feeling unenthusiastic. But Deathly Hallows, both of part one and two, were okay. Thanks to David Yates! But still, I have several things to be complained about...

1. I still can't accept it, that Daniel's eyes are blue instead of strikingly green. His eyes are one of the most important "element" of the story.

2. I wish Richard Harris is still alive to portray Dumbledore because for me, he was perfect for that role. Dumbledore was described as a gentle, loving and affectionate old man while Michael Gambon played a really, really rough and rude Dumbledore since Prisoner of Azkaban. He never shouted to Harry but he did it in Goblet of Fire.

3. NO VICTORY FANFARE AFTER HARRY DEFEATED VOLDEMORT.

4. Young James Potter was a bulbous kid and aint like Harry at all.

5. I wish Daniel were skinnier and taller.

6. I wish Rose Weasley were prettier, just like her mother.

7. Where was Crabbe? That black tall guy was Zabini, the another Slytherin. It's kinda not important but the sudden replacement was quite disturbing.

But I'm glad that "King's Cross" chapter was very well done (quite relieved because Harry was with his clothes on because according to the book, he was naked at first). Snape's memories with Lily might be the best part (ah, Snape. Rowling is such a brilliant for creating this double agent with unpredictable relations). I'm also happy for Neville's heroic scene. And the ending, when our trio were holding hands and closed their eyes, was somehow mesmerizing and touching.

The "19 Years Later" was....hilarious. No, that's the old Malfoy who was hilarious. The whole cast looked not natural, but I can't expect more. And yesss as I said above, Albus Potter was a super cutie! Portrayed by Arthur Bowen.

I hope it all doesn't end here.....

I'm mad about Audrey Hepburn recently! Breakfast at Tiffany's made me instantly fall for her. I'm dying to watch her on Roman Holiday but it was a 1953 movie (in black and white color mode, yes) and I don't know where on the earth I could buy the CD or DVD. Found the VLC file on Mediafire, the whole movie is divided to thirteen parts and I have downloaded the first part whose the audio file is... broken. Got my heart broken too because of this. The another available download link requires a torrent downloader and I have no idea about torrent. Help me....

And FYI, Miguel Yatco from Living In the Stills is my new favorite blogger. He is a gifted artist and still very young. 18 years old, the same age as mine but he has done a lot of art projects and so productive....he gets me down! July, 18 2011 was Alansan/ Ajulios / Ajuleha / Aal's sweet 17th birthday!!! He is younger than all of us, graduated from high school at age 16 (somehow it sounds like a prodigy). Hours before the birthday dinner, we made a prank : "kidnapped" him to a vacant lot, gave him a face-painting service and syrup + flour rain!

It's Adidas : Dynamic Pulse body spray. Smells like butt, Aal said.

After the prank, we left him alone at the street haha!

I'm afraid that Aal's birthday dinner was the very last togetherness moment that I have with my guys because first week of this upcoming August, each of us will have our own duties in university life and we might have no chance to see each other until September (Lebaran holiday). The fact that I'm going to face a lot of new faces as a university student gives me a vapid smile, because.... I think I'm not ready for these all. Yet. But I have to.

Last Sunday, my best friend Ario, just departed to Jogja for his business study.

Had the farewell dinner at Fun and Food (the restaurant where I celebrated my 17th birthday dinner) and played this Egg-something game.

Oh how lovely.

Too bad I couldn't make my presence on Sunday at the airport, so I sent this simple "Good Luck" card to him via BlackBerry Messenger. It has been implied that you would make an excellent businessman since you won the Best Speaker award for Debate Competition... and I wish you all the best, Ario! Thanks for these 3 years :)

Adam creates the most exquisite lyrics ever, and his imagination is so beyond words...well no wonder, because it's described in his Twitter bio : "Reality is a lovely place but I wouldn't want to live there." I'm no longer a High School student and my university life starts this August, so I have been busy because I have just moved to a new house!

The postponed 18th birthday gift from my sister. Third Sylvanian! Scratched the price tag and we found out that the price was for only IDR 69.900... now it's IDR 89.900.

Abandoned lot? Saw it with a beautiful golden sun ray, damn... perfect for a vintage photo session. The question is, how do you get there?

The Farewell Night

Literally, prom does mean "dance party" but last night it was taken as "farewell night" at my school. The Farewell Night 2011 : The Phantom of the Opera was our very last High School event. I dressed up, pink from top (almost) to toe! By the way, me together with Tommydesigned the ticket :)

Evan was crowned as the Hottest Boy!!!!

Thumbs up for the MC, they were freaking hilarious!

HUGE thanks to Tommy and friends for the wonderful farewell night. Besides the Awarding Event, dinner and band performances, there was also this "quality time" that gave a chance to anyone of us who would like to share stories, memories or even confession. I raised my hand and spilt almost everything to my friends.... I talked about myself as a bad friend, for not being able to always understand my besties, delivered my highest acknowledgement for Devi (for being the first person who could change my personality) and despite my bad attitude, deep down inside I love them a lot. Damn so relieving because finally, I have a capability to speak up.

Thank you so much.

HIGH SCHOOL NEVER ENDS.

Graduation Day

Officially graduated from SMAK Penabur Gading Serpong yesterday, on June 14 2011. (It was also Vicky's 18th birthday!) This year, the graduation event was held at Jakarta Convention Center, together with the another 1585 graduates from 9 Penabur High Schools.

And the girls, bothered with Kebaya, make up and hairdo things...

Didn't capture anything from the event itself (we were not allowed to). And by the way, I'm soooo proud of Devi because she finished her study in second place for Social class.
