Lost & Found Shoppe x Vanilla x Weirdoinpink ;)

The joy of collaborating with two of your favorite shops at the same time! The artwork above was commissioned by Lost & Found Shoppe and Vanilla Shoes for their flagship store opening a few weeks ago. Lost & Found is a curated boutique where you can shop locally-made products and vintage findings while Vanilla Shoes, provides the most stylish (and comfy!) footwear. The project itself was kind of rushed but I had fun working on it.

Vanilla's beautiful collection. Vintage-inspired, ethnic, casual, and quirky style...you got them all.

These savory Eighteen Pies were heavenly. One of the best treats ever.

The lovely Anggono sisters who founded and managed Lost & Found and Vanilla Shoes. If you are coming to Pantai Indah Kapuk, be aware of this cute tosca-painted facade and do stop by!

Some Tiny Stories

Last month Josh got a new job in Karawaci, which means....we are now no longer geographically separated (yay yay yay)! So, on a sunny day we went place-hunting for him and after miles of walking, we ended up taking a bus to the housing complex where my old flat is located. We met this golden guy alone and played with him. He seemed so lonely.

Attended my friend's sister's wedding and stole a lot of flowers, yet it's still not enough! Met the bride herself a few days later and even she said that I should have taken as many flowers as possible :( (By the way, the hydrangea was already on its bad condition after a week.)

Casually walked to the supermarket to grab some groceries and stumbled upon these 1990s books. I internally screamed as I flipped every page and struggled with myself... To buy or not to buy, that's the question?!?! The sad thing was, they were pretty expensive so I purchased only one. This beaut is Heather Buchanan's Tales of George and Matilda Mouse, a story about the newly-wed mouse couple on their journey of seeking a new home. They eventually found one and it was an abandoned dollhouse. It couldn't get any cuter.

Weekend

I used to make every post about my social events in excruciating details back then, and it appears that this post is the first one since forever. Anyway... I was invited to Carousell's Lunch Gathering last Saturday because I'm taking a part of their #shopmycarousell campaign. Unfortunately I've been pretty sick with cough and flu since Wednesday yet thankfully I was healthy enough to attend the event. I wonder if anyone noticed my terribly ugly voice and painfully constant coughs.

Yeah I took a load of crap photos :( After the gathering, we wandered around Brightspot. I (figuratively) drooled over Olivia Burton watches.

The day after, Vicky and I had our long-postponed birthday dinner at Gastromaquia. The four of us coincidentally wore white (although in different hues) and left Vicky alone in her oriental sack-look-alike dress, lol.

My face frequently ruins the group shot.

Random Shots #14

When was the last time I posted Random Shots?? A year ago! Ever since I only took pictures with my iPhone, I feel that I have lost the sense of noticing mundane-yet-worth-capturing things around me. I'm really sad about it. Day by day, my disappointment towards myself for losing my pink Canon's charger and USB cable grows greater. That pocket camera was my loyal companion on my active blogging days for more than 3 years and following my latest relocation, the charger + cable are nowhere to be found. My sister even lost her Yotsuba & I! comic books. I really want to switch back to my dear old camera but it's pure useless without the battery charger. And I'm simply too hesitant to buy new portable camera...

(PS: It was me who made that glorious Audrey Hepburn painting.)

Current Possession

When it comes to splurge, I will always choose to do it on books rather than clothes.  These are some that I have purchased so far. (Actually this is a long postponed post, so I haven't snapped the other newly-purchased ones to be included here.)
I obtained the used books (Sara Midda's, Through the Garden Gate, Wild Flowers By Colour) from @secretstaircase on Instagram. The owner is so graciously kind and always gave me some trinkets along with the books that I purchased from her! Meanwhile, the spectacular and thick A Life of Style was gifted by my wonderful pen pal, Maya. Still can't thank her enough for sending me such an amazing book *___*
100 Years of Fashion was given by Josh when we were visiting a bookstore. I also love this one...you probably have read about my review on my previous post (oh and by the way, I didn't win the competition). Audrey Hepburn: An Elegant Spirit is an absolute favorite of mine simply because it's the sincerest biography of hers. It was written by her first son, Sean, and features a load of unpublished family documentation. For every fan of Audrey, this book should be on your shelf.
My two favorite magazines would be Monocle and Frankie although I'm not a regular buyer. I always like everything that Monocle discuss in its every issue, despite the fact that I'm not their target market. I also find Frankie very delightful...sadly, the price is seriously not friendly here in Indonesia. Josh thinks that it is really ridiculous to spend so much money on a single edition, while I could buy another nice and useful graphic book with the same amount of cash :/
