Audrey at Home

When I heard there'd be another biography book of Audrey Hepburn, I rushed to my favorite online bookstore, searched for the title and ordered one. I was overjoyed; this new book looks perfect! It's a biography kitchen table book (how adorable does it sound?), includes more unpublished family photos, original handwritten recipes from Audrey herself and it's written by the second son, Luca Dotti (I think young Luca is the most handsome kid ever). I had to purchase it, not just because for the sake of my collection but also to support the hazy research for my Final Project.
I love Audrey at Home so much. I also treasure Audrey Hepburn, An Elegant Spirit (which was written by the first son, Sean Ferrer) but Sean shared numerous sad events all the way through the book and I literally ended up reading in tears. I love the warm vibes that Audrey at Home presents, although Luca mentioned a bit of unhappy moments as well. It's also quite fascinating to see more pictures of Audrey in her 40s and 50s because I have seen far too many Audrey in her 20s...not because it's a bad thing, of course not duh, but looking at the middle-aged version of my idol at her home is such a refreshment.
Anyway, the highlight is what happened after I posted a picture of Audrey at Home on Instagram and tagged Luca on it. He commented with three smiley faces and liked the photo, which is more than enough for me. But seven hours later, I checked my notification and apparently Luca came back to my feed, browsed through and liked some of my old photos! And he started following me too!!! I'm still shivering with joy: Audrey Hepburn's son is following me on Instagram!

Haha I easily get overexcited about this kind of thing... when Benedict Cumberbatch's ex-girlfriend accepted my request to follow her on Twitter, I was so happy like a fool too.

デブ

My Mom just got back from Japan. She took a lot of good pictures as well (as I have told her before... "take as m-a-n-y pictures as possible!") and I will be back later to show you some!

Cutest Thing Ever...

I received this uber-kawaii cookie jar from Joshua on Valentine's Day. I can't stand its cuteness...I mean, do you guys notice that those mini clay figures resemble me and my two favorite people in this world, Audrey Hepburn and Owl City's Adam Young??? The Deer and The Owl are present as well, along with the three of us. Unfortunately The Deer is badly injured, both of my hands and Audrey's were initially dismantled and Adam lost his nose, but hey... who cares! I will treasure this forever!
And I was absolutely thrilled to pieces to see my favorite things were adorably glazed on these cookies...

The Tiny Book

Fell in love at the first sight with The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories when I saw it on hitRECord, an open-collaborative company, founded and directed by the awesome Joseph Gordon-Levitt. And thank heavens for Open Trolley Indonesia, this book is available to order on their website (although the stock is super limited and I have to wait for around 3 weeks for the restocking process) so I don't have to deal with PayPal, pricey shipping fee, etc etc.

The book is literally tiny. And the stories inside this tiny book are, uhm, literally tiny. I finished reading the entire content in 10 minutes (or less) right after the FedEx mailman came to my door. But no, it doesn't mean that The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories is useless or not worth to buy! Let's see...

These two tiny stories are my favorite. Each story is amusing and unique, and due to the super short lines, you are free to imagine the rest of the story, or even the beginning. In my opinion, this book will make a perfect gift. An anti-mainstream gift. Okay because this book is so so so cute, I took a lot of pictures....

AND BY THE WAY...

Uuuuu Cozy

Received two lovely shoes from Ditchy Mitchy and Shoecorner ! Major yaaaayness! (PS : The new Shoecorner logo was made by me.)

Gosh, socks. I'm actually not a socks person, I don't have beautiful legz so apparently wearing socks will just make my figure looks shorter and moreover, it will give me extra chore to wash every pair... haha what a life. But Marks and Spencer have the cutest collection of socks... the patterns are irresistible, ZOMFG-ly cute, so... yeah :/

Is it possible to go out with these kind of footwear pairing without being teased????? Anyway, speaking about socks instantly reminds me of Christmas. So people, for your very own early preparation of Christmas / New Year greetings, go check Aubergine Garland and always feel free to contact me to order these cards!
